In a recent early morning operation, the FBI arrested Thomas Kasperek and his wife, Dr. Daphne Kasperek, at their home in Loudon County, Virginia, for their involvement in the Capitol breach on January 6, 2021. The couple shared their experience during an exclusive interview on “America First with Sebastian Gorka,” revealing the dramatic circumstances surrounding their arrest.

According to Thomas Kasperek, the FBI arrived at their residence around 6:00 a.m., with vehicles displaying flashing lights. Agents loudly demanded the couple to exit their home with raised hands. While Thomas was already awake, he had to wake his wife, advising her to contact their friend Richard Ryan, a co-plaintiff in a previous election integrity lawsuit they filed against Loudoun County’s Electoral Board and Board of Supervisors. Their legal action, stemming from concerns over electronic voting machines purportedly manufactured in China, was dismissed on January 6, 2023, as reported by LoudonNow.com.

Upon opening the door to the FBI agents, Thomas was confronted with an M-4 rifle and noted that approximately six agents, fully equipped, had their weapons drawn. Although he requested to see a warrant, the agents deferred showing it until their arrival at the downtown FBI field office. Both Thomas and Daphne Kasperek were placed in hand and ankle cuffs with chains and escorted publicly down their driveway and street.

At the FBI field office, the couple underwent fingerprinting, DNA swabs, photography, and separate interrogations. According to Thomas, it became clear that the FBI had been compiling a case against them for their brief entry into the Capitol three years prior. They were subsequently taken to the federal courthouse, handed over to U.S. Marshals for further questioning, and charged with four misdemeanors related to their presence in a restricted area and disorderly conduct.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Thomas stated they were inside the Capitol for approximately 12 minutes. Sebastian Gorka, responding to the couple’s account, characterized the enforcement action as indicative of political policing in America, referring to the Kaspereks’ experience as proof of such a shift.
