The comments came shortly after Trump’s participation in a New York hush money trial, where he is accused of falsifying business records to conceal a payment made to a porn star. Trump has repeatedly claimed that the charges against him are politically motivated.
“These people are running a Gestapo administration,” Trump was quoted in the recording. “And it’s the only thing they have. And it’s the only way they’re going to win, in their opinion, and it’s actually killing them.
