Biden Nominee To Head ATF Was Involved In Waco Massacre, Oklahoma City Bombing, Ruby Ridge and Fast & Furious
Joe Biden’s anti-Second Amendment nominee to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) has a background ripe with controversy.
Currently serving as a senior policy advisor at former representative Gabriel Giffords’ anti-gun lobbying group “Giffords,” David Chipman used to carry a semi-automatic rifle while raking in a taxpayer-funded paycheck.
The Biden nominee’s government career places him on location or being directly involved in some of America’s most infamous events over the last few decades.
Daily Mail reports that Chipman was “at the Ruby Ridge standoff,” in 1992 near Naples, Idaho.
After the federal government entrapped a man into selling two sawed-off shotguns with barrels shorter than the legal limit, the individual suspected a conspiracy against him and refused to surrender when agents showed up to his home.
In what turned into an 11-day standoff, the man’s 14-year-old son, his wife and their dog were all killed by U.S. Marshals and FBI agents.
The father, Randy Weaver, and his three daughters, surrendered after the mother, son and pets were murdered.
The Weaver family was given $3.1 million by the government as part of a court settlement following the tragic incident.
The very next year, Chipman was directly involved in overseeing the Waco Siege.
Breitbart refers to the Waco standoff as “a big, sexy, made-for-TV siege — a PR move to rebuild reputations after the government’s breathtaking debacle at Ruby Ridge.”
According to his own resume, Chipman was the “Case agent in the Branch Davidian Trial.”
The following image shows the Biden ATF nominee standing over a burning pile of rubble while ironically holding a long rifle.
Somewhere in the ashes behind him laid the remains of some 82 Americans, including 25 children and two pregnant women.
Discussing his involvement in the government-sanctioned slaughter, Chipman lied to Reddit users during an AMA and claimed Branch Davidian members shot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters using .50 caliber rifles.
In reality, the choppers were fired upon but were never “shot down.”
During the Waco standoff, federal agents played audio of animals being slaughtered as part of a psychological warfare tactic, used CS “tear gas” and eventually hit the building with a round from a tank that burned the people inside alive.
Women and children were subjected to all of the previously mentioned maneuvers.
Both the Ruby Ridge and Waco killings were sparked by the overzealous ATF infringing upon the Second Amendment rights of U.S. citizens, so it’s understandable that people would be cautious of hiring Chipman to run the entire agency.
In the next historical event Chipman found himself at the center of, the Biden ATF nominee says he “responded to the Oklahoma City Bombing as a Western NRT member.”
Alex Jones was one of the first people to reveal the truth behind the suspicious attack in his 1997 film “America Destroyed By Design.”
The 2011 film “A Noble Lie: Oklahoma City 1995” also helped expose the terror attack as a false flag event staged to strip more freedoms from Americans.
The fall-guy for the Oklahoma City attack, Timothy McVey, was ironically spotted on video showing support for the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas in 1993.
Chipman’s exact role in the Oklahoma City Bombing is largely unknown at this time, but government stooges were involved in the planning, execution and cover-up of the attack.
Fast-forward through a decade or so of government service and Chipman’s career comes to the infamous “Fast and Furious” scandal of Obama’s ATF under then-Attorney General Eric Holder.
Essentially, the ATF used Operation Fast and Furious to convince straw purchasers to sell guns to weapons traffickers who then sold the firearms to Mexican drug cartels.
Meanwhile, during last year’s Reddit AMA, Chipman was bold enough to note that “victims of drug lords in Mexico” are often killed with .50 caliber rifles.
“America plays a role in fueling the violence south of the border,” he admitted without a hint of self-awareness.
While the specific details of Chipman’s involvement in all of these scandals have yet to be revealed, that information could help America further understand the man who may soon be leading one of the nation’s most powerful armed agencies.
Regardless of the fact that he used to play soldier in his younger days in the ATF and that he could soon be in control of a government agency equipped with enough firepower to fight a small war, Chipman will now be using his power to strip the American people of their God-given right to self-defense.
The Biden nominee even supports disarming citizens who have never committed a crime!
“While at ATF I conducted studies involving people who failed background checks to determine how many later committed crimes with a gun—many did,” Chipman said. “This is a perfect opportunity to arrest people before committing crimes rather than responding after the fact.”
If this man is appointed to head the ATF despite the laundry list of red flags showing he’s unqualified, our Second Amendment will be unironically within the crosshairs of “the Biden-Harris Administration.”
Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson recently touched on the “unhinged” David Chipman being nominated by Biden.
Carlson noted Chipman had recently made his Twitter account private, but that the Daily Wire was able to obtain an archived version showing he deleted at least 1,000 tweets in recent days.
However, as Tucker explains, “Chipman told The Hill that AR-15’s should be treated ‘just like machine guns’ — meaning banned. Chipman made that remark in his capacity as a policy adviser for an anti-gun group. In 2012, he suggested on MSNBC that the Secret Service shouldn’t carry firearms. And last year, David Chipman openly mocked the millions of Americans who are buying guns to protect their families from the crime wave Chipman’s party started.”
Chipman said of American gun owners: They might think that they’re Die Hard, ready to go, but unfortunately they’re more like Tiger King and they’re putting themselves and their family in danger, and so what I would suggest is to those first-time gun owners – I would secure that gun locked and unloaded and hide it behind the cans of tuna and beef jerky stored in a cabinet and only bring that out if the zombies start to appear and I don’t think they are.

From the Infowars Archives, this compilation of interviews over the years with Hoppy Heidelberg, former Federal Grand Juror for the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building court case in Oklahoma City, reveals why we still have a lot of work to do in draining the swamp. Almost 20 years later, Hoppy continues to indict the Deep State, FBI, CIA, ATF, and many of the actors who to date have yet to be brought to justice.

- Chipman was also involved as an ATF agent with the Ruby Ridge standoff
- He was an ATF agent for 25 years and now is a senior policy advisor for the gun control advocacy group Giffords
- Gun rights advocacy groups are concerned with Chipman’s nomination, claiming: ‘Joe Biden knows he cannot beat gun owners in Congress’
Joe Biden‘s pick to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was an agent involved in the Ruby Ridge standoff and Waco siege – and, it was revealed this week, he lied about Branch Davidian cult members shooting down two helicopters during the infamous standoff.
Gun rights advocacy groups are extremely concerned that Biden is tapping gun control advocate David Chipman to lead the agency that oversees firearms-related issues. They are also now concerned about his previous false statement.
‘Joe Biden knows he cannot beat gun owners in Congress. Instead, he’s circumventing the legislative process to impose his own tyrannical [vision] by executive fiat,’ Gun Owners of America Vice President Erich Pratt told Fox News in a statement.
Chipman was a special agent with ATF for 25 years, including during the Waco massacre in 1993.

Massive fires were set to the Branch Davidian religious sect’s ranch in Waco, Texas after ATF showed up with a search and siege warrant for reported illegal firearms and weapons in the facility
The government agencies’ handling of the incident, which started with a simple search warrant of the cult’s ranch, quickly became the subject of major criticism after 76 Branch Davidian members and five ATF agents were killed – 16 other agents were injured.
During a Rose Garden announcement on Thursday of upcoming gun control executive actions, President Joe Biden confirmed that Chipman is his pick to head the ATF.
As a nominee, it’s unusual that Chipman’s official Twitter page is set to private.
Chipman is currently a senior policy advisor for the gun control advocacy group Giffords. The law center was founded by former Arizona congresswoman Gabby Giffords, who was shot in the head during a 2011 assassination attempt.
Giffords was present at Biden’s gun control event on Thursday.
Notably, Chipman falsely claimed in a 2020 Reddit post that during the Waco standoff between Branch Davidian religious sect members and ATF agents that cult members shot down two helicopters – something that blatantly did not happen.
The Reddit thread, known as an ‘Ask Me Anything’, shows an image of Chipman holding up a paper inviting people to ask him questions about topics related to his gun control advocacy and time as an ATF agent.
The government’s handling of the Waco incident quickly became the subject of major criticism after 76 Branch Davidian members and five ATF agents were killed – 16 other agents were injured
‘I am David Chipman. I spent 25 years as a special agent for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF),’ the user wrote in the introductory Reddit post.
‘I stopped the illegal flow of guns from Virginia to New York, was on the ATF SWAT team, and served as Special Agent in Charge of ATF’s Firearms Programs,’ the poster continued. ‘Now I work with former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords to save lives from gun violence.’
In one answer during the ‘AMA’, Chipman said during the ATF standoff with the Branch Davidians, ‘cult members used 2 .50 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters.’
While it’s plausible these powerful rounds could take down helicopters, none were shot down during the standoff.
Branch Davidians did, however, fire rounds and made impact with the deployed helicopters. No crew members were injured and the aircraft immediately stopped the mission and landed safely.
It is a violation of the law for U.S. agents to fire on civilians from helicopters.
It also appears that Chipman was involved in his capacity as an ATF agent in the 1992 Ruby Ridge standoff near Naples, Idaho.
It also appears Chipman was involved in the 11-day Ruby Ridge standoff as an ATF agent
The event started because a man, Randy Weaver, received three conflicting court dates for a bench warrant related to firearms charges. He suspected there was a conspiracy against him and refused to surrender when government agents came down on him.
The FBI, U.S. Marshals and ATF all became involved.
Ultimately, Weaver’s 14-year-old son, his wife Vicki and their dog were all killed by Marshals and FBI agents. Eventually, Weaver and his three daughters surrendered after an 11-day standoff.
During a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) last year, Chipman, a former ATF special agent and current senior policy adviser at [Gabrielle] Giffords Courage to Fight Gun Violence organization, told this outrageous and provable lie:
At Waco, cult members used 2 .50 caliber Barretts to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard helicopters. Point, it is true we are fortunate they are not used in crime more often. The victims of drug lords in Mexico are not so lucky. America plays a role in fueling the violence south of the border.
That is some first-class, Blue Anon bullshit right there.
Here’s the photo proving it’s Chipman and not some imposter.
While defending themselves against an outrageous, unnecessary, and deadly government raid on their compound, there are reports the Branch Davidians did fire at helicopters, but no one was injured and none of the choppers were shot down. The only big question surrounding guns and helicopters was if the helicopters fired on the Branch Davidians — something the government has denied, but not credibly.
So it is simply a lie to claim the Branch Davidians shot down helicopters with “.50 caliber Barretts.” After people in the AMA thread pointed out his lie, Chipman never went back to address it. He just dropped his lie and moved right along — because that’s what dishonest, gun-grabbing conspiracy theorists do.
What’s more, according to this official report, no .50 caliber weapons were recovered at the Waco compound after former Attorney General Janet Reno stupidly ordered the raid that would result in totally unnecessary deaths of some 82 people, including 25 children and two pregnant women.
Additionally, this report makes it clear no choppers were shot down: “The subcommittees reviewed videotape of the raid shot by agents in the helicopters as well as videotape of the exterior of the helicopters involved in the raid after the helicopters withdrew from the scene.”
“Withdrew from the scene” is just a tad different from “being shot down.”
It won’t surprise anyone that Chipman is in favor of a ban on “assault weapons,” even though there is no such thing, and is obviously willing to spread lies to convince people to back that ban. After all, is there a bigger liar in the world than his potential new boss, Joe Biden?
Listen, a lot of people on both sides blundered at Waco. No question. But the bottom line is this… The federal government knew there were women and children inside and still launched a botched raid based on a lot of unfounded rumors — like Chipman’s helicopter lie — which resulted in the agents involved failing to see those inside the compound as fellow human beings.
The fake media, the Clinton White House, some (not all) senior law enforcement officials, and the corporate media launched a public campaign to dehumanize the Branch Davidians, to toxify a large group of people, most of whom were guilty of nothing more than embracing a faith that turned them into outsiders…
There are countless ways Waco could have been handled better. Why in the world the government didn’t just wait for Branch Davidian leader David Koresh to go into town and arrest him there is the most baffling. Instead, the government launched a big, sexy, made-for-TV siege — a PR move to rebuild reputations after the government’s breathtaking debacle at Ruby Ridge, a debacle created over a shotgun with a too-short barrel that never would have existed without a blatant act of government entrapment.
Chipman knows he’s lying, but the dehumanization propaganda campaign against gun owners is all part of the fascist government’s plan to disarm us.
