Newark man faces DWAI charge after car found partially on sidewalk
Deputies reported the arrest of a Newark man after a vehicle was found parked partially on a village sidewalk.
Michael Todd, 37, of Newark was taken into custody after deputies were dispatched following the report of a vehicle stopped halfway in the road and on the curbside of Pierson Avenue in the village.
It was determined that Todd had consumed alcoholic drinks prior to driving, according to deputies, who administered a series of standardized sobriety tests, after Todd showed signs of intoxication. A breath test was administered at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Todd was charged with driving while ability impaired after being found with a BAC of 0.07%. He was also charged with not having an updated inspection sticker.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
