Three Rochester men charged for UTV thefts in Perinton
PERINTON, N.Y. — Three Rochester men face charges following several UTV thefts in Perinton.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office charged Dominic Colon, 21, Carlton Bevel III, 26, and Miguel Corchado, 19, with second-degree grand larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.
Deputies responded to Bobcat of the Finger Lakes on Pittsford Palmyra Road at 8:50 a.m. last Friday for the report of a stolen UTV.
The suspects could be seen on surveillance video entering a fenced-in area of the business during the overnight hours, stealing small items from several vehicles, deputies said. One of the suspects stole a 2020 Bobcat UTV with a plow and was seen heading west on Route 31.
Then, on Saturday just after at 5:00 p.m., Deputies were again dispatched to the business for another report of a stolen UTV. An employee saw the UTV being stolen and chased the suspects, according to deputies.
The employee called 911, and deputies were able to locate three suspects and take them into custody.
Deputies recovered four UTVs off Hogan Road in Perinton. The UTV taken Friday was found abandoned on the Erie Canal Path in Gates.
Colon was released on his own recognizance. Bevel and Corchado remain in the Monroe County Jail without bail on unrelated warrants.
