(KVHT) – A 68-year-old man from Alcester, South Dakota, has died from injuries sustained in an ATV crash on Monday, January 18^th. According to authorities, the ATV was traveling westbound on 301st Street near the 478th intersection near Alcester, when the driver lost control causing the vehicle to partially roll and enter a ditch. The driver, and sole occupant of the ATV was Thomas Sailor. He was thrown from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. Sailor was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Hawarden, Iowa and later flown to a Sioux Falls hospital where he died from his injuries on Tuesday, January 19^th. The crash is still under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
