Arcadia woman hospitalized after car hits telephone pole
Deputies say a 78-year-old Arcadia woman was sent to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following a one-vehicle crash on Thursday.
Carol Mattice, 78, was traveling south on Route 88 when she attempted to sneeze and lost control of her vehicle.
Her car then left the road and struck a telephone pole.
Deputies say she was transported to Newark-Wayne Hospital with chest pain.
There’s been no further update on her condition.
They were assisted at the scene by the Fairville Fire Department, Newark Town Ambulance, and Wayne County ALS.
