Port Saint Lucie man arrested in Sports Bar shooting
PORT SAINT LUCIE, FLORIDA – A suspect is arrested in connection to a shooting at a sports bar near Port St. Lucie in October.
Jacob Justice Stephen, 20, is accused of wounding two people in a shooting at the parking lot of the Body Talk Sports Bar on South US 1 last October 10.
The sheriff’s office identified Stephen as a person of interest in the shooting due to evidence. Police said he grabbed a gun from his car and fired into the crowd during the altercation.
The gun and bullet casings recovered from the scene were linked to Stephen through ballistic and latent fingerprint analysis.
One person suffered a bullet wound, the other grazed by a bullet. Both went to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Their names have not been released.
Stephens faces charges of attempted first degree murder and possession by a Florida delinquent felon.
