Around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon, police say they arrested a Seneca Falls man following a domestic incident and pursuit.
Earlier in the afternoon, around 1 p.m., the Seneca County 911 Center received a call for a physical domestic incident in a hotel parking lot. Upon arriving police found a female victim at the scene.
A male assailant, identified as Michael J. Greco, 28, had already left the scene. While interviewing the victim Greco returned. He fled in his vehicle when police attempted to speak with him.
He then led police on a two mile pursuit on State Route 5 before it was terminated for safety reasons. a short time later Greco was agan seen traveling northbound on Gravel Road, and again officers attempted to stop him. Greco again failed to yield to police – and once again the pursuit was terminated.
Later, just before 3:00 p.m., police received another call reporting that Greco had returned to the hotel parking lot.
Officers again responded. While on-scene, Greco placed his vehicle in reverse and backed up, running over a Parole Officer’s foot, causing several fractures.
After failing again to comply with police, Greco again fled the scene . A short pursuit ensued, ending when Greco failed to negotiate a turn, left the roadway, and struck a utility pole.
He was taken into custody without further incident.
Police said no injuries were observed or reported as a result of the pursuit.
