Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Joel A. Shirk, age 31, of Kings Corners Road in Romulus, on multiple charges following an investigation into alleged sexual activity with a minor.

It is alleged that Shirk subjected the victim to sexual activity on at least twelve occasions between August and October of 2020.

On January 11, 2021, Shirk was charged with Disseminating Indecent Material to Minors in the First Degree, Criminal Sexual Act in the Third Degree (12 counts), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Shirk was arraigned in the Seneca County Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $2,500 cash bail/$5,000 secured bond.
Shirk is to reappear in the Junius Town Court on January 14, 2021 at 5pm.
