del Lago lays off 1,000+ furloughed workers
More than 1,000 workers at del Lago Resort and Casino have been laid off.
Earlier this month, the Seneca County casino said it would issue WARN notices to furloughed employees as is required when a business plans to lay off more than 50 workers. According to the notice posted on the State Department of Labor’s website, 1,077 workers were impacted.
In a statement, del Lago General Manager Lance Young expressed frustrations with the state regarding a lack of information on when or how casinos will reopen.
State-owned casinos were not reopened during the state’s four-phase reopening plan.
