A man wanted for murder in Virginia has been captured in Geneva. The US Marshals Service says 19-year-old Alton Powers shot and killed Stephen White in April in Newport, Virginia.
Authorities say they received word that Powers might be in the Finger Lakes area late last week. Powers was arrested while walking on North Exchange Street in Geneva.
Powers is being held as a fugitive from justice in the Ontario County Jail. In Virginia he’s having several charges, including first degree murder.
