At the very last minute, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo pulled the rug out from underneath industries that were planning on reopening under Phase Two on Friday.
Appearing on a Long Island Public Radio program Thursday afternoon, Cuomo said, “a team of international experts” was look through the data and metrics before allowing regions of New York to reopen.
During his daily media briefing on Friday, Gov. Cuomo delivered the news that many people and business owners in the Finger Lakes and Central New York and Southern Tier have been waiting for regarding the Phase Two re-opening of New York State.
The second Phase allows the reopening of many service based businesses, including retail, real estate, office-based jobs, professional services like barbershops and hair salons with limited services.
