Sanford Vermillion Urging Patients To Come In For Healthcare

May 31, 2020 | ,

(KVHT) – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, providers at Sanford Vermillion Clinic are urging patients to continue seeking medical care, both for urgent needs and managing ongoing health concerns. Healthcare professionals are asking people not to ignore or put off health care because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Maintaining appointments is especially important for patients with ongoing medical issues such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Officials with Sanford Vermillion say they have taken a number of steps to ensure safety in the clinic. They are screening all patients who enter for COVID-19 symptoms, there is ongoing cleaning and disinfecting of the building, all staff, patients, and visitors are being asked to wear masks, and currently only one adult may accompany a child to an appointment. Mary Jo Olson, a family practitioner with the clinic said the health care needs of patients, whether getting a mammogram, sports physical, child immunization or emergency care, is of the utmost importance. She adds that the clinic has policies in place to keep everyone safe, and that they are ready to take care of their patients.
