Kolb not seeking re-election to Assembly
Assemblyman Brian Kolb has announced he will not seek re-election this fall. Kolb was arrested on charges of drunken driving following an accident late New Year’s Eve night.
According to court documents, his blood-alcohol level was twice the state’s legal limit at the time of the accident.
Kolb admitted to deputies to drinking four or five cocktails at the Erie Grill in Pittsford before crashing his state-owned SUV into a ditch on County Road 41 near his Victor home. The documents also stated Kolb told a tow truck driver at the scene that his wife was driving.
Kolb resigned as Assembly Minority Leader on January 3rd.
