Closed home sales skyrocket in January in Lewis County
January was another strong month for the housing market in Lewis County. The Northwest Multiple Listing Service report shows that closed sales in the county in January jumped by 52.6 percent over a year ago, from 57 in January 2019 to 87 last month. The median price of a home that sold was $260,000, up from $228,000 in January of last year. That’s an increase of almost 14 percent. The report also shows pending sales last month were up slightly over a year ago while new listings dropped by one.
The total number of active listings on the market in Lewis County is down by 10 percent from January 2019, dropping from 218 to 195. The MLS report also shows that there is currently just over 2 months of inventory on the market in Lewis County.
