The St. Lucie County Tourism Office and the City of Fort Pierce partnered to construct and install a perfectly framed photo opportunity at Jetty Park on Seaway Drive in Fort Pierce. The 8 foot by 5 foot colorful photo frame now lets visitors and locals alike snap a photo with a framed view of the panoramic scenes that can be found overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Fort Pierce Inlet waterway.

“If you look around the County, you will find that visitors from all over the world come here. Now visitors can capture the moment and share it with their friends and family. Locals will also find enjoyment sharing these scenes of paradise that they live in everyday,” said County Commission Chair and Chair of the St. Lucie County Tourist Development Council Cathy Townsend.

The photo frame sign, aptly titled “Wish You Were Here, Fort Pierce, Florida” includes the popular hashtag #LovetheFort, was erected to encourage individuals to take photos and share them with their friends and family or on their social media pages.

“Jetty Park, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Fort Pierce Inlet, is popular with residents and visitors alike. People fish from the jetty, relax on the swings, learn from the kiosks about our city during World War II, have a picnic or watch the boats on the Fort Pierce Inlet. This selfie spot adds to the many attractions of this beautiful spot,” stated City of Fort Pierce Mayor Linda Hudson.

The St. Lucie County Tourism Office along with the City of Fort Pierce and the City of Port St. Lucie regularly collaborate on tourism development and promotional projects that will benefit the cities and the County as a whole. In recent years, the County’s Tourism Office partnered with each city to install live web cams at various locations to feature live streaming video of beautiful scenes throughout each city. The live webcams can be accessed by visiting www.visitstlucie.com/live-web-cams/. More collaboration projects with the cities are underway.

The St. Lucie County Tourism Office, also known as Visit St. Lucie, is the official destination marketing organization for St. Lucie County. The office is responsible for marketing St. Lucie County and its cities as a destination and promoting activities and assets that will generate new or repeat visitors, thereby creating a positive economic impact for St. Lucie County. The office is funded by the County’s tourist development tax or “bed tax” that is paid by visitors staying in overnight accommodations for six months or less.
