Today Is #GivingTuesday

Dec 2, 2019 | ,

(KVHT) – We’ve experienced Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday – today is set aside to give back and has been labeled #GivingTuesday. This is a day we are encouraged to give to others instead of spending on ourselves – and one way to do that is through the nonprofit organization Feeding South Dakota. Thanks to the Paul & Mary Ellen Connelly Family, Feeding South Dakota will double any donations made today. This is the fifth year that the family will match donations, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000. Also, everyone who donates on #GivingTuesday will receive a free Polar Camel tumbler, courtesy of a generous business in South Dakota. #GivingTuesday is a global giving movement driven by individuals, families, organizations, businesses, and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This day is set aside to inspire generosity and the importance of giving back. According to Matt Gassen, CEO of Feeding South Dakota, it’s an opportunity for the organization to draw attention to the hunger needs in our local communities as well as across the state.
