Visit St. Lucie Office Earns State, National Awards for Marketing Efforts
The St. Lucie County Tourism Office recently earned several awards from state and national organizations for its marketing and promotional efforts.
The National Association of County Information Officers presented the Tourism Office with a Superior Award (first place) in the Award of Excellence competition in the Graphic Design/Logo Category for the inaugural Skeeter Skoot logo.
Florida Magazine Association bestowed a Bronze Awards to the St. Lucie Travel Guide, produced by Indian River Magazine in conjunction with St. Lucie County Tourism, for Best Custom Publication and Best Visitor Publication. The FMA cited the work of St. Lucie County Tourism and Marketing Director Charlotte Bireley and Content and Marketing Specialist Taylor Hardison as well as Indian River Magazine Design Editor Michelle Burney.
Additionally, the Florida Public Relations Association’s Golden Image Awards recognized staff with an Award of Distinction and a Judges’ Award in the Public Relations Programs Division; Special Events Category for the campaign efforts behind the inaugural Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival. Judges’ Awards are given to projects that generate maximum results, using minimal dollars.
St. Lucie County’s Communication Division assisted with graphic design and promotional efforts for the Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival and the Skeet Skoot, as well as photography for the St. Lucie Travel Guide.
Support for the Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival came from the various craft breweries and winery that make up the trail. The second annual Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail Festival is schedule for Saturday, Nov. 16 at Summer Crush Winery and Vineyard.
The Ultra Run Skeeter Skoot was organized by the Treasure Coast Sports Commission with support from the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District. The second annual event is slated for Saturday, Dec. 14 at Bear Point Sanctuary on South Hutchinson Island. Registration is underway for the 50K and 100K runs at https://skeeterskootultrarun.com.
The St. Lucie Visitors Guide has been produced in partnership with Indian River Magazine for several years providing a high-quality, magazine-style visitors guide at no cost to the Tourism Office. The Tourism staff provides content and design direction for the guide, while the magazine staff sells advertising to cover the production costs.
