North Las Vegas police investigating deadly shooting
A man is dead after a shooting Tuesday night in North Las Vegas.
North Las Vegas officers responded about 7 p.m. to the 4900 block of Harold Street, near Lone Mountain Road and Bruce Street, after receiving a call from a 12-year-old boy who said he heard a loud bang, possibly a gunshot, police spokesman Eric Leavitt said. Police advised the boy to stay in the shower, because he was too scared to leave.
Officers arrived to find a 48-year-old man in the home with a single gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The juvenile referred to the man as “Dad,” Leavitt said.
