Onalaska woman killed in head-on collision east of Napavine
An Onalaska woman was killed in a head-on collision east of Napavine Friday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, a vehicle driven by 62-year old Robin K. Schmidt was westbound on State Route 508 near Remy Lane when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle that crossed the centerline. The State Patrol says the eastbound vehicle didn’t slow for stopped traffic and hit another vehicle before striking Schmidt’s car.
A fourth vehicle was damaged from debris. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was injured but declined to be taken to the hospital. The people in the other two vehicles weren’t injured.
The State Patrol says charges are pending.
