Chadron Music Teacher Honored For Work With Gifted Students
CHADRON – Chadron Public Schools vocal music teacher Wendy Mahr was honored by her peers last week with the Extra Mile Award from the Nebraska Association.
The presentation came during the group’s annual conference in Omaha.
The Association honors each year up to 3 teachers, administrators, or community members who have made a significant contribution to Nebraska education through their work with gifted students.
Mahr teaches vocal music at the Intermediate, Middle School, and High School levels.
She also directs the Chadron High Cardinal Singers, has directed or served as musical director for the high school musical for several years, and teaches the high school Music Theater and Stagecraft classes.
