Chehalis house fire injures 4 occupants, one seriously
Four people were injured, at least one seriously, in a house fire in Chehalis Saturday afternoon. According to the Chehalis Fire Department, units were dispatched to the two-alarm fire in the 500 block of S.W. McFadden at 3:55 PM. The house sustained significant damage. Four occupants of the house were transported to Providence Centralia Hospital. Chehalis Fire Chief Ken Cardinale says the cause of the fire remains under investigation, however the preliminary indication is that it was improperly disposed of smoking material.
In addition to the Chehalis Fire Department, units from several other area departments helped battle the blaze.
