The Lewis County housing market was mixed in December
There are some mixed numbers for the Lewis County housing market for December. The Northwest Multiple Listing Service report for the month shows the number of closed sales and the number of pending sales both rose when compared to December 2017. Larry Weaver with DreamWeavers Real Estate says he believes that is due to buyers rushing to finish purchases before interest rates rise further. The report also shows the number of new listings and total listings on the market were both down over a year ago.Weaver told KELA/KMNT there is not quite the buying frenzy that there has been. He says the market has balanced out and in come instances is becoming more in favor of buyers.
Weaver says even though the median price of homes that sold in December was up over a year ago, he is seeing some prices being reduced to attract more buyers.
