Fordyce X-Mas Parade Postponed
Due to expected inclement weather predicted for tonight the annual Fordyce Christmas Parade is has been postponed until Monday, Dec. 10 at 6:00pm. The parade will follow its traditional route down West Fourth Street to Main Street.
Immediately following the Christmas Parade there will be a Community Christmas Tree lighting at the Dallas County Courthouse. The lawn of the courthouse has been decorated with trees and other Christmas filled decorations.
There will also be free carriage rides ,and pictures with Santa by Tammy Stephens. Hot Chocolate and cookies will be provided and the Fordyce Elementary Choir will sing.
However, despite the postponement of the "outdoor" activities, the Chili Supper and Silent Auction will proceed tonight since it is being held indoors at Hope Hall of the First United Methodist Church starting at 4:30pm this evening. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 dollars for children.
