Construction on Highway 285 Is Underway
The Colorado Department of Transportation begins construction today on Highway 285 between Johnson Village and Nathrop.
The $3.5 million project includes a wildlife underpass and a left hand turn lane onto County Road 310.
The project is said to enhance safety along the corridor. CDOT says the wildlife underpass could reduce collisions by over 75 percent.
The entire project should be completed in mid-July.
During construction, motorist should expect alternating traffic and delays of up to 10 minutes.
